GIET અને GCERT - ઉનાળુ વેકેશનમાં બાળકો દ્વારા સતત કાર્યશીલ રાખવા માટે ૧ મે ૨૦૨૨ (ગુજરાત સ્થાપના દિવસ ) ના રોજથી સળંગ ૩૫ દિવસ સુધી પ્રવૃતિઓ

The Institute was established in April 1984 as part of the INSAT project. The Institute was ragistered as an independent organization under the Registration of Societies Act-1860 on December 13, 1994.

The institute started on a small scale in a temporary studio in the polytechnic hostel building in Ahemdabad. Subswquently, the necessary resources were recruited, the staff was supplemented, the staff members were trained technically and other first steps were taken. Production of the programs started in December 1985. After that, the institute moved to the current studio building.

All essential resources for the studio were provided to the institute by the Government of India. The Full progress of the institute is the result of valuable guidance from CIET New Delhi and NCERT New Delhi.

GIET is partially funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. The government of Gujarat provides the most financial assistance since 2003-2004

Objectives

Following are the major aims of GIET Ahmedabad.

.	To produce and broadcast high quality and purposeful radio and television programmes.
.	To produce programmes that helps and support universalisation of primary education.
.	To publicize information regarding educational technology.
.	To train teachers in writing scripts for the radio and television programmes.
.	To develop the quality of formal and informal education and implicate values in them.
.	To supervise and evaluate educational programmes shown on the television and congregate opinions about them.
.	To prepare and publish pamphlets showing time tables and other information regarding the broadcasts of the radio and TV, Programmes.
